Storm Damaged Trees
The weather is always an important topic of conversation in Scotland but in recent years, extreme conditions have focussed our attention and increasing severity of windstorms have recently had an impact on our stock of trees.
Trees were dramatically uprooted in some cases blocking roads and causing significant damage. Sometimes the effect of the winds on our trees are less obvious and require closer inspection.
Typical signs of storm damage:
- Cracked soil in the rooting zone
- “Springy” or lifting roots
- Newly developed leaning tree
- Vertical cracks
- Hanging or broken branches
If you have any of these issues or need emergency intervention our team of trained arborists can react quickly to clear any type of storm damage from broken branches to fallen trees.
